El Cacharrista is a place for people curious about how things actually work, who like solving problems, don't mind frying a component now and then while experimenting, and learn by doing. In short, for anyone who enjoys tinkering.
What you'll find here are articles about my projects, which tend to combine several disciplines — electronics, programming, 3D printing, astronomy, photography or video, among others — to build something concrete that aims to solve a real problem.
This site serves two purposes. One is to keep a record of what I'm doing so I can come back to it whenever I need to. The other is to share it in case it helps anyone, the same way other people's work has helped me.
And if you'd like to comment on something, share your own experience with a similar topic or just say hi, drop me a line. It's always good to swap ideas with others who are into the same kind of thing.
